Wayne County Crash Sends One to Hospital
A Wayne County crash sent one person to the hospital, that’s according to the Illinois State Police who investigated the injury crash shortly after noon Tuesday on U.S. 45 about a quarter mile north of Wayne County Road 2000 North.
According to the preliminary investigation, 18 year old Jazmine McClane of Cisne, was southbound on Hgihway 45, when she swerved off the roadway to avoid hitting a cat. McClane’s 2010 Dodge Avenger then struck a guard rail, causing major front end damage.
McClane suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported by ambulance to the hospital. Her car was towed from the scene.
State Police were assisted at the scene by Cisne Fire Department, North Wayne Ambulance Service and Headlee’s Towing.
No charges were filed in the incident.
