The fourth grade students at Washington Attendance Center have completed a reading story about helping the community. Each class discussed ways they could do something to make a difference.
As a result, several of the classes had a food drive and donated to the Cherry Street Church’s food pantry. One class collected school supplies to give to other students. 
Teacher Marcy Deam said that “It’s important to the teachers that our students understand the importance in being active and helpful in their community. The students are very proud of what they’ve accomplished, as are the teachers.”
