WADI Awards
Every year Community Action Agencies across Illinois select one family per county who exemplify whatCommunity Action is all about, setting goals, overcoming obstacles and achieving self-sufficiency. Wabash Area Development, Inc., your local Community Action Agency, is proud to announce the 2019 White County Family of Distinction is the Brandie Walters Family of Enfield. The family was nominated for this award by Elizabeth Quillman. Elizabeth works in the Enfield WADI office.
The family’s achievements were honored by the presentation of a mantel clock. Sponsored by the Community Services Block Grant in conjunction with The Department of Commerce and Economic Op-portunity and the Illinois Community Action Association.
The White County Sheriff’s Department located in Carmi received the WADI Very Important Partner award.
Wanda Peters, White County Manager presented White County Sheriff Doug Maier a plaque, candy jar, and other WADI items. White County Sheriff’s Department received this award due to their contributions and partnership with WADI. The Sheriff’s Department has assisted WADI in helping our community’s most vulnerable population. The Sheriff’s Department also provided Active Shooter Training for the WADI staff.
