Carmi, IL — On September 6th, Wabash Christian Village (WBCV) hosted their 6th annual Golf Scramble at Carmi Country Club to benefit WBCV residents. Twenty-one teams participated in the event. Norris City Christian Church took first place which was sponsored by Wabash General Hospital, Janice Gates, First Christian Church Carmi, Medline Industries, First Bank and Ferrell Hospital/Deaconess Illinois. B&B Tank Truck & Construction came in second which was sponsored by Hamilton Memorial Hospital District, Rush Appliance Inc. Darren Baily for State Senator, & Deaconess Regional Health Care Services. In third place was Tinker Team and sponsored by The City of Carmi and Carmi Lumber.

No one claimed a hole in one sponsored by Hale Body Shop.

Longest Drive was sponsored by Tracy Zeller Jewelry. Those winners include: Chad Buss, Jack Johnson, and Susan Waltke.

Tracy Zeller Jewelry also sponsored the Closest to the Pin and Brett Smith was the winner.

Steve Garrett had the longest putt.

“It was a beautiful day for golf and we were thrilled to have 81 participants and many great sponsors. Our residents will enjoy the new recliners that will be purchased from the proceeds. I would like to thank the Carmi Country Club for a beautiful course and the hospitality.” WBCV Executive Director Sandra Bryant.
