VICTOR S. TANQUARY, JR. NURSING SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED AT WVC

Wabash Valley College is pleased to announce Brooke Pearson as the recipient of the 2016-2017 Victor S. Tanquary, Jr. Nursing Scholarship.

 

The Victor S. Tanquary, Jr. Nursing Scholarship is a two-year scholarship from the Victor S.
Tanquary, Jr. Trust, in honor of the Tanquary Family.  The award is up to a maximum of $1,500 per person per year for each of the freshman and sophomore years.  This two-year award must be used for educational expenses for the Nursing Program.

 

The recipient must have graduated from an IECC District #529 high school or may qualify if residency in Wabash County has been established for the past two years in a capacity other than attending college; the recipient must be officially accepted to enter either the first or second level of the ADN program; and must be currently in good standing academically at WVC with no less than a 2.5 overall grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

 

Brooke Pearson is the daughter of Amy Clodfelter and Mark Clodfelter, and is a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.  Brooke is a member of the Health Professionals Club and the Student Nurses Association.  She has been named to the CEO’s Honors List.  After she completes her nursing degree at WVC, she plans to transfer to Purdue University as an online student to attain her BSN degree.  Her future career goal is to become an RN.
