April 26, 4-6 p.m. — Southeastern Illinois College hosts the annual Kids Fair in the Joseph C. Deaton gym. This is a free event for preschoolers – fifth graders. There will be games, free food, a fire truck and a police car among other fun attractions. April 26, 6:30 p.m. — Southeastern Illinois College will hold its annual Honors Night in the George T. Dennis Visual & Performing Arts Center.
April 28, 10 a.m. – Southern 14 Workforce Investment Board, Inc. will hold a Community Service/ Hiring Event at Southeastern Illinois College. This event will take place in the Robert I. Gregg Technology Center in room G120. There will be various types of information to help those who have experienced a layoff, as well as hiring employers to talk to attendees. May 1, 1 p.m. – The Southeastern Illinois College Student Art Exhibit reception will be held in the George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center Art Gallery lobby. This exhibit will be on display from April 18- through the end of the summer semester. May 1, 2 p.m. — Southeastern Illinois College’s Community Choir and Concert Choir perform choral greats during their spring concert in the George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center. May 13, 4-5 p.m. – Southeastern Illinois College’s Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) students and Practical Nursing (PN) students will have a pinning ceremony in the Joseph Deaton Gymnasium at SIC. The ceremony will precede commencement exercises on this day.
May 13, 7 p.m. – Commencement exercises will be held in Joseph Deaton Gymnasium. The 2015 Distinguished Alumnus, Dr. Dana Keating,Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at Southeastern Illinois College, will be the keynote speaker. A reception will follow in the Harry L. Crisp Student Center.
