United Way of South Central Illinois, serving the Jefferson, Marion, Washington, Wayne and Wabash Counties, has named Natalie Wellen as its new Executive Director.
Prior to assuming her duties as the United Way Executive Director, Wellen has been employed by Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, serving as Marketing Director.
“We are so very pleased to announce this appointment,” reports Carlene Brown – United Way Board of Directors President. “Natalie will bring additional leadership, energy and creativity to the organization’s programs along with a deep sense of commitment to our community. She has served other area non-profits at the program, fundraising and leadership levels, and has a breadth of perspective and experience”.
“I look forward to continuing the United Way’s long history of partnering with the area’s other nonprofit organizations,” remarks Wellen. “United Way of South Central Illinois plays such a key role in meeting the needs of our great community. I can’t wait to get started”.
Wellen will begin her new role at United Way on June 25th.
