Two individuals were the victim of a stabbing attack Tuesday night in McLeansboro according to a press release issued by the McLeansboro Police Department.
Just before 9:30pm, Police along with Illinois State Police troopers and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department responded to a the 600 block of South Pearl Street, and found 34 year old Thomas Garrison and 34 year old Mitzi Willis had been attacked. Both were transported to the Hamilton Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. Garrison was later transported to Deaconness Hospital in Evansville by helicopter, while Willis was treated and released.
The suspect, 37 year old Duane G. Carlson, fled authorities and was later located in Dale, IL with minor injuries. Carlson was also transported to Hamilton Memorial for treatment. Carlson has been charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery, Aggravated Battery, Home Invasion, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon.
