Two sentenced in White County Court Wednesday

Two individuals were sentenced in White County Court Wednesday according to States Attorney Denton Aud.

43 year old Heather Browning of Carmi was sentenced to four years in Illinois Department of Corrections custody and two years of mandatory supervised release on a charge of burglary.  In addition, Browning was ordered to pay all mandatory fines, fees, costs, and assessments as well as make restitution to her victim by Judge Mark Stanley.  Browning was represented by Carmi attorney Jonathan Turpin.  The case was investigated by the White County Sheriff’s Department.

33 year old Shaun D. Carl of Sumner was found guilty of a charge of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine and sentenced to seven years in prison and two years of mandatory supervised release by Judge Mark Stanley.  Carl was represented by attorney Roger White and was also ordered to pay all mandatory fines, fees, costs, and assessments. The charge came after an investigation by the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force.
