In White County Court on Monday, two women were sentenced to Department of Corrections custody according to States Attorney Denton Aud.
26 year old Kimberly Windle of Albion will spend four years behind bars and serve one year of mandatory supervised release after being found guilty on one charge of possession of methamphetamine. Windle was also ordered to pay all mandated fines, fees, costs, and assessments.
43 year old Tina Murphy of Carmi was sentenced to three years in prison and one year of mandatory supervised release on one count of retail theft. Murphy had been on probation in the case, but that was revoked with the new sentence. Murphy was also ordered to pay fines, fees, costs, assessments, and restitution. Murphy was arrested Saturday night by Carmi Police officers at Walmart.
