Two Sentenced in White County Court
A Carmi man and a Harrisburg woman were sentenced to prison terms in White County Circuit Court Wednesday.
White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud reported Elijah James, 29 of Carmi was sentenced to five years in a Department of Corrections facility. James will also serve one year mandatory supervised release, formerly known as parole. James was sentenced on a charge of Retail Theft, a class 4 felony.
The Carmi Police Department was the investigating agency in the James case.
Grayville Police Department was the investigating agency on a domestic battery charge against Katherine E. Pickens, 26 of Harrisburg.
Pickens was sentenced to three years in prison on the Domestic battery charge, also a class 4 felony. She will serve four years mandatory supervised release.
