48-year old Billy R. Smith of Griffith, Indiana, was sentenced Friday, January 17, 2020 to a total of 4-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by a term of 1-years of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly known as “parole”) in Edwards County Court. Billy R. Smith had previously pled guilty to the offense of felony Driving While Driver’s License is Revoked and was found to have violated his probation. Edwards County State’s Attorney Eric A. St Ledger prosecuted the case on behalf of the People of the State of Illinois and public defender Brian Shinkle represented the defendant, Billy R. Smith.
35-year old Jenifer Hirsch of Posey County, Indiana, was sentenced Friday, January 17, 2020 to a total of 4-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by a term of 2-years of Mandatory Supervised Release (formerly known as “parole”) in Edwards County Court. Jenifer Hirsch had previously pled guilty to the offense of Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver and was found to have violated her probation. St Ledger prosecuted the case on behalf of the People of the State of Illinois and conflicts public defender Kelli Storckman represented the defendant, Jenifer Hirsch.
