Two men were sentenced in White County Court on Monday according to States Attorney Denton Aud.
30 year old Daniel Carlisle of Owensboro, Kentucky was sentenced to three years in Department of Corrections custody on one count of possession of a stolen vehicle and to three years on one count of aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer. The two sentences will run concurrently.
Carlisle prompted a manhunt earlier this year involving the Carmi Police Department and White County Sheriff’s Department that shut down businesses and included a high speed pursuit on Route 1.
25 year old Sean Spurlock, who has listed addresses in New Haven, Maunie, and Carmi received a five year sentence on a charge of theft and five years on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Those sentences will run concurrently. The Carmi Police Department investigated both cases.
Both men were represented by Public Defender Brian Shinkle and sentenced by Judge T. Scott Webb.
