The hunt is still on for two of the three inmates who escaped from the White County Jail early Saturday morning.
24 year old Zachery Shock and 61 year old Johnny Tipton remain at large. At approximately 8:30 Sunday night, a report of two men matching the description of Shock and Tipton was received, prompting a multi-agency search of the area of the Omaha intersection. Two State Police K9s and a drone from Hamilton County were a part of the effort, but neither subject was located.
The third escapee, Justin Bray was captured Saturday evening east of Crossville.
Monday morning, Sheriff Doug Maier announced that three other individuals have been charged with aiding in the escape. 46 year old Wendi Owen of Grayville, 28 year old Carly Schmittler of Grayville, and 32 year old Elijah Locher of Crossville are being held at the White County Jail. Maier would like to remind the public that any attempt to aid a fugitive can result in criminal charges.
Shock and Tipton are considered dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information of their whereabouts should contact the White County Sheriff’s Department immediately at 618-382-5321.
