Two Carmi men received prison sentences in White County Court this week according to States Attorney Denton Aud.
39 year old Chad A. Carrow will spend five years in Department of Corrections custody and will be under four years of mandatory supervised release after pleading guilty to one count of domestic battery. As a part of his plea deal, charges of methamphetamine possession and possession of a hypodermic syringe were dismissed.
In addition, Carrow was ordered to pay all mandatory fines, fees, costs, and assessments. The case against Carrow was investigated by the Carmi Police Department.
56 year old Alfred E. Duvall was sentenced to two years in prison with one year of mandatory supervised release on a charge of driving while license revoked. Duvall was arrested by the Carmi Police Department on Friday, September 2 and was ordered to pay a $500 fine and $172 to the local anti-crime program in addition to all mandatory fees, costs and assessments.
