Two Flora men are behind bars after Clay County officials say they were responsible for a power outage that disrupted service to almost 1600 Wayne-White Co-op customers last Monday night.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Department announced Monday, that 36 year old Ryan M Staton and 37 year old Andrew Staley are lodged in the Clay County Jail. The two are accused of using a truck and power tools to attempt to steal ground wires from the electrical transmission line near Zif.
Each is charged with theft over $10,000 and theft under $500. Staton’s bond has been set at $75,000 and Staley’s bond was set at $50,000.
