Naylor Toxicology Report Returned
Earlier this year, former Carmi resident, Brooke Naylor was found dead in Gallatin County following a search that took several days.
Naylor had been reported missing on a Sunday afternoon, but it was Friday before her body was found at a rural location, quite a distance from where her abandoned car had been discovered earlier in the week.
Her death was determined to be caused by hypothermia, as temperatures had dropped into the 20s and lower that week. It was also pointed out a toxicology would be done.
This week, Gallatin County Coroner Tony Cox reported the results of the toxicology report had came back with indications Naylor did have methamphetamine in her system, but it is not clear if that contributed to her death.
Illinois State Police investigated the incident. It is not clear at this time, if the investigation will continue or if there will be any related arrests.
