It was a busy morning in White County Court on Wednesday. White County States Attorney Denton Aud announced that three sentences were handed down.
37 year old Michael R. Voyles of Olney was sentenced to 3 years in Department of Corrections custody on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. Voyles was arrested by Carmi Police on Christmas Day. In addition, Voyles will be placed under one year of court supervision following release.
39 year old September Duvall and 40 year old Danielle Duvall, both of Carmi, entered guilty pleas after each was charged with one count of retail theft. Each received a two year prison term and one year of supervised release. September Duvall was arrested at the Carmi Walmart on January 19th. Danielle Duvall turned herself into the White County Jail on Sunday afternoon. The Carmi Police Department handled the investigation.
