White County States Attorney Denton Aud announced that three men are heading to prison after sentences were handed down in White County Court this week.
36 year old Robert G. Veach of Carmi was sentenced to three years in Department of Corrections custody and one year of mandatory supervised release on a charge of resisting a police officer. Veach had been sentenced to probation in June, 2015 but that was revoked Tuesday with the prison term invoked.
41 year old Philip W. Sandusky was found guilty on one charge of possession of methamphetamine and will serve five years in prison with one year of supervised release. Sandusky was also ordered to pay all mandatory fines, fees, costs, and assessments, and was also convicted on misdemeanor charges of battery and resisting a police officer.
40 year old James H. Earl of Fairfield was sentenced to three years in prison on a felony charge of criminal damage to government supported property. Earl will be under one year of supervised release following incarceration, and was ordered to pay restitution in addition to all fines, fees, costs, and assessments. Earl was also convicted of a misdemeanor charge of resisting a police officer.
