Thefts reported in Crossville and Enfield

A Crossville woman and an Enfield man both reported thefts from their properties Wednesday afternoon.

Crossville resident Betty Pisarczyk says she discovered someone had entered her garage on Second Street and taken a Stihl Chainsaw as well as another chainsaw, unknown brand, as well as some hand tools and some wood trim. Officer Poole reported a fiberglass door panel that he noticed had been pushed open in order to gain access to the handle of the door. Pisarczyk says the garage was secure and the missing items were still present as of 5pm Tuesday.

Rural Enfield resident Roger Stocke reported to the Sheriff’s Department someone had taken an Echo brand weedeater he noticed missing on Wednesday. Stocke was able to give the serial number of the product and said he purchased it from Hillyard Farm Services in Carmi. The item was valued at more than $300 and Stocke estimates it was taken between Sunday evening and Wednesday. Officers could find no forced entry.
