The second of two Mt. Carmel teens who robbed the Grayville Casey’s General Store with a bow and arrow in March has been sentenced in Edwards County Court.
18 year old Toby Hinterscher received a seven year sentence with one year of mandatory supervised release along with all fines, fees, and court costs after pleading guilty to one count of intimidation during the robbery. Hinterscher was also recommended for substance abuse treatment while serving his sentence.
Hinterscher was 17 at the time of the crime, but States Attorney Mike Valentine was successful in his attempt to move the trial from juvenile to adult court early in proceedings. The case was investigated by the Grayville Police Department with assistance from the Illinois State Police and Mt. Carmel Police Department.
