The 2nd “Teed off Against Child Abuse” Golf Outing for The Guardian Center, hosted by Sheriff Derek Morgan was held on Friday, July 22nd at The Mt. Carmel Municipal Golf Course. The Guardian Center is a non-profit children’s advocacy center serving abused children and their families. The main office is located in Carmi, Illinois with satellite child interviewing areas in Harrisburg, Robinson, and the newest satellite located within the Family Counseling Center in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. In the last fiscal year, the Guardian Center’s Wabash Satellite served 56 children reported as abused and their families.
This year’s event was a Glow Golf Event with a fee of $200 per team and raised over $3000 for the Center’s programs. All the teams enjoyed the event and had a great time.
