Sweats for Vets Wraps up Friday
Washington Attendance Center has partnered with the Carmi Elks and have been hosting a “sweats for vets’ clothing drive the last couple weeks. The drive is scheduled to conclude tomorrow (Friday), Nov. 9, but its not too late to donate to the cause.
Sweatshirts, sweatpants, insulated underwear and slippers are still be accepted and will be donated to local veteran’s clinics.
If you would like to help out by donating any of the mentioned items, you may drop them off at the Washington Attendance Center on Main Street, here in Carmi, or the Carmi Elks Lodge on Cherry Street.
All donations will be greatly appreciated and could help keep a veteran warm this winter.
