A big event is coming to Wabash Valley College, and it is “Sunfest” which will be held on the WVC campus on April 28, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. This is a student-built event that is FREE! Local bands will be competing to win a $400 prize. The following bands will be in the competition: Three Zoez-A Garage Rock band out of Evansville, IN; The Jangle Sheep-A Rock n’ Roll band out of Evansville, IN; White Knight-A Rock n’Roll band out of Owensboro, KY; Wax Astro-A Folk Rock, Powerpop band out of Evansville, IN; The Selects-A Punk Rock band out of Vincennes, IN,; Selling the War-Indie band out of Newburgh, IN; and So Long Vinyls-A Rock n’Roll band out of Evansville, IN.
Food will be available to purchase throughout the day as well. They will be serving lunch and supper hours. A nice Lunch (11 a.m.-2 p.m.) will be available for under $5. For supper (4 p.m.-7 p.m.) they will be GRILLIN’ OUT! Meals will be available to purchase starting at only $3.
Not only are they going to entertain the adults, but they are going to entertain the kids too! The TOY (Teachers of Youth) Club is hosting a Kids’ Activity Center that includes a petting zoo, crafts, outdoor games, bounce house, and a snack. The cost is $10 for two hours. There will be a drop-off zone for the kids, so you can listen to music.
