Friday afternoon, Sheriff’s deputies received information from Carmi Police Chief Jason Carter that a scooter owned by Robert Steingruby that had been reported stolen on Thursday had been located abandoned off of Centerville Road. The stolen scooter was found down an embankment and was recovered and towed from the scene by Bill’s Garage.
Early Saturday morning, 49 year old John Eagleson of Grayville surrendered himself at the Sheriff’s Department at 12:47am. Eagleson had been wanted on a White County warrant for aggravated fleeing or attempted eluding a police officer and driving while license suspended. Eagleson is being held at the White County Jail on a $5000 bond.
