Steele Prison Bound
A McLeansboro resident, 49 year old Kelly Steele is heading to an Illinois Department of Corrections facility.
That followed a hearing in White County Circuit Court Monday that handed down a three year sentence on a charge of theft, a Class 3 Felony.
Steele will also serve on year mandatory supervised release (parole) following release from prison.
Steele was represented by Public Defender Brian Shinkle. White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud prosecuted the case.
Judge T. Scott Webb overheard the hearing Monday.
The Carmi Police Department was the investigating agency in the case.
