State Police Announce Patrol Results

Illinois State Police District 19 Commander Captain Cory Ristvedt recently announced the results of a couple traffic enforcement patrols conducted in Hamilton and White Counties earlier this month.

An occupant restraint enforcement patrol resulted in 15 safety belt citations and 11 written warnings.

Safety belts save lives, but some drivers ignore their safety and the safety of their family by neglecting to use seatbelts and child restraint devices. Lives can be saved by simply BUCKLING UP.

A STEP patrol resulted in two occupant restraint violations; one driving under the influence and drug/alcohol related citation; 33 speeding citations and warnings.

It was pointed out that driving the posted speed limit, sober, not distracted and buckled up will save your life and the lives of others.

Both patrols were funded though the Illinois Department of Transportation
