Spring Ball
Today is the second full day of Spring and the National Weather Service forecast indicates the day will actually feel like Spring, with a high near 60.
Perfect weather for playing baseball and softball, and with that in mind, WROY Sports begins its Spring broadcast season of Carmi-White County High School softball and baseball.
Today, WRUL 97.3 FM, will be broadcasting the Lady Bulldogs softball game against Benton. The game is set to start around 4:30.
Jason Craig and company will have the game covered. The pre-game show should be on the air around 4:15 or 4:20.
WROY’s first baseball broadcast will be next Thursday, March 28 as the Bulldogs take on Louisville. (Lewisville). That game will also start around 4:30, air time around 4:15 or 4:20.
The St. Louis Cardinals will be on the air on WROY AM 1460 and 92.1 FM Saturday and Sunday. The Cardinals face the Nationals Saturday and the Marlins on Sunday.
The Cardinals open their regular season this week on the road.
