McLeansboro City Council came together for a special meeting Monday afternoon for the purpose of potentially accepting a bid for major repairs to South Pearl Street between Cherry and Randolph. City Clerk Fred Vallowe said the city was expecting to open two different bids, but instead only received one from E.T. Simonds Construction making the decision a quick one. An engineer from John Crawford and Associates will oversee the project, which will cost the Hamilton County city $43,198.63.The city will use Motor Fuel Tax funds to pay for the job.
The city also agreed on City Wide Clean Up dates of October 1st through 4th from 7:30am to 3:30pm.
