Soil and Water Meeting Friday
The 73rd annual White County Soil and Water Conservation District’s meeting is set for Friday at the White County Fairgrounds Floral Hall, here in Carmi.
The annual meeting will open with registration at 5 Friday evening. A free pork loin dinner will be served at 5:30.
A short business meeting will follow the meal. Bryan Tomm will be the guest speaker. He will be speaking on nitrogen management and electrical nitrogen stabilizatation.
Two directors will be elected Friday and awards will be presented to the winners of the District’s annual poster contest.
The Conservation Farmer of the Year will also be announced at Friday’s meeting.
There will be numerous door prizes from local businesses given away during the meeting.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend the annual meeting.
