Smith Almost Matches Three Point Record
Carmi-White County senior Julia Smith drained a 3-pointer in the final seconds Monday to give the Lady Bulldog basketball team a thrilling 50-48 win over Eldorado at the Harrisburg tourney Monday night.
Smith finished with 30 points, including six 3-pointers. The school record for most 3-pointers in a game is seven, set by Kelsi Kuykendall in 2005. Smith is now tied for second on that list with Evie Doss, who hit a half-dozen treys twice in the 2002, and Katelyn Weaver, who drained six 3-pointers against Vienna in the 2010 regional championship game at Harrisburg.
