Southeastern Illinois College’s annual Job Fair will once again be held in SIC’s Deaton Gym on April 25 from 9 a.m.- noon.
At SIC’s Job Fair, job seekers of all types will have an opportunity to survey the employment field, network and perhaps take a step toward a new future. Attendees can expect vendors from a wide variety of areas and industries, including hospitals, nursing homes, radio, staffing agencies and car sales amongst others. The event is free not only for job-seekers, but also for employers to set up a booth. At this time, over 35 employers will be represented and this number is growing daily.
“This is a great place for those who are looking for employment, or more information on employers, to start,” said Lori Cox,associate dean of workforce and community education. “Not often does a person get to speak with this number of employers all in one place. This is also a great place for employers to meet many potential candidates for employment.”
The Illinois Department of Employment Securities will be hosting two free employment workshops at 9 and 11 am in the Private Dining Room, located in the Harry L. Crisp Student Center Cafeteria.
Those attending should bring copies of their resume and dress to interview.
The fair is held in cooperation with the Saline County Chamber of Commerce, WEBQ Radio, the Illinois Department of Employment Services and SIC.
