The White County Sheriff’s Department arrested Roy Ritcheson Thursday night after receiving a call about a domestic battery in Crossville. 
Sheriff Maier met with the victim in Grayville, then proceeded to arrest Ritcherson at 9:30 pm on an outstanding Hamilton County warrant. After consulting with States Attorney Denton Aud, Ritcheson was charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property.
Ritcheson is being held at the White County Jail on bond amounts of $750 on the White County charges and $575 on the Hamilton County warrant.
Saturday morning, Bill Hays of Carmi reported to the Sheriff’s Department that someone had damaged his mailbox and newspaper box. Hays reported the damage just before 8 am. No other mailboxes in the area were seen to be damaged.
