Friday evening, 36 year old Tracy Gum of New Haven was arrested following a traffic stop in Maunie by the White County Sheriff’s Department. Gum was pulled over at 5:42 pm at the intersection of Emma and North Streets for driving on a revoked license. Gum was transported to the White County Jail and was later released after posting a $150 bond. He also was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and unlawful use of registration.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report from Roy Starling of Carmi that someone shot the front window of his Summitt Street residence with a BB gun. Starling stated that he heard a noise around 8:15 pm Friday, but did not notice the damage until Saturday morning.
Sunday night, deputies arrested 44 year old Kimberly Carter of Carmi following a traffic stop at 7th and Shipley Streets on charges of driving on a suspended license and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. Carter was pulled over at 9:56 pm and was transported to the White County Jail. She was later released after posting a $150 bond.
