Seventh and Eighth Grade Volleyball

The Seventh and Eighth Grade Lady Bullpups were on the volleyball courts against Mt. Carmel last (thur) night, with the seventh grade gals losing two, while the eighth graders won two matches, but dropped one.

The Seventh graders lost 25-14 and 25-21. The seventh grade squad got off to a rocky start and couldn’t find a good rhythm until it was too late in the game. Coach Ariana Watts said the girls let nerves get the best of them, but it was a good experience to see that volleyball requires a lot of mental toughness and grit.

The eighth grade squad jumped out with a vengeance on their home court, winning 25-18 in the first match. They dropped the second match; 25-12 but came back to win the third 15-7.

The seventh grader will be in action Saturday at Benton, playing at 9:50 in the morning against Anna Jonesboro.

The eighth grade gals will be back in action Monday at Eldorado.
