State Sen. Dale Righter (R-Mattoon) is sworn into office Jan. 11 in the Senate chambers of the Illinois Capitol. Righter was one of dozens of Senators who were sworn into office as part of the inauguration of the 100th Illinois General Assembly.
“It’s humbling to take the oath of office and to represent the 55th Senate District,” Righter said. “I want to thank my constituents for giving me the opportunity to be their voice in Springfield. I love this job, and I love representing them. To be able to meet so many great people, visit so many unique and diverse communities, and debate and craft solutions to issues that are critical to this state make this job so rewarding. I look forward to serving in the 100th General Assembly and moving Illinois forward.”
