Search Continues For Brooke
Illinois State Police are requesting the public’s help in finding 20-year-old Brooke Naylor, formerly of Carmi, now a resident of Harrisburg, who has been missing since Sunday..
Close to 60 volunteers, including friends and family searched the area where her car was found but found no signs of Brooke or any of her belongings.
The search didn’t start until late as the searchers waited on the Illinois State Police to give the go-ahead, which came shortly after 2 Thursday afternoon.
Around 5 Thursday evening, the search crews moved to a different location off the Eldorado-Ridgway Blacktop and Pool Road.
Illinois State Police reported finding some items they believe belong to Brooke, those items were discovered prior to the Thursday search.
According to WSIL Channel 3 News, Naylor’s boyfriend said he was last with her in her car at the Harrisburg Wal-mart on Sunday. He described her as wearing sweatpants with the logo PINK printed on them, a light jacket and house slippers.
Plans are for the search to continue this (Friday) morning at 9.
State Police are asking for more volunteers to help with the search.
Volunteers should meet this morning at 9 at the St. Kateri Catholic Chuch in Ridgway.
