Saturday Semi Crash sends Two to Hospital
Illinois State Police responded to a semi crash just after one Saturday afternoon that sent the driver and passenger to an area hospital.
According to the Illinois State Police accident report, 57 year old Kim Bickett of Ridgway was operating a semi-truck trailer, on Illinois One, just north of the Ridgway Spur, when a tire blew, causing Bickett to lose control of the vehicle and run off the road. The semi struck a tree before coming to a stop.
Bickett and a passenger, 57 year old Greg Braun, also of Ridgway received minor injuries in the crash
State police were assisted at the scene by Gallatin County Sheriff’s Department, Illinois Conservation Police and Gallatin County Ambulance Service.
No charges were filed in the crash.
