Santa Claus is Coming to Town
You better watch out…as Santa Claus is coming to town.
Santa will make his official arrival to Carmi this Saturday evening as he will be the guest of honor for the It’s a White County Christmas Parade. The parade is set to begin around 5:30 at the First Baptist Church Saturday evening.
Santa will be the guest of honor and following the parade, the jolly old elf will be visiting with the children at his headquarters on Main Cross Street, at the Veteran’s Park. The evening will include the official lighting of Carmi’s Christmas Tree in the park, across from the city building.
Santa will visit with the children until about 9 following the tree lighting.
Santa’s visiting hours are 2 to 5, on Dec. 2, 8, 9, and 15th, and then from 6 to 9 on Sunday, Dec. 19 and then Saturday, Dec. 22.
Santa will also be making special appearance around town prior to Christmas. WROY/WRUL News will have information on those appearances on later newscast.
