Saline County UTV Fatality
A late night UTV ride resulted in the death of a Carrier Mills man early Saturday morning.
The Saline County Sheriff’s Office and Saline County Coroner continue to investigate the fatal crash that occurred around 1 a.m. Saturday, when the 2016 Honda Utility Vehicle ran off the road and overturned. Three people were ejected and received major injuries, but a fourth person, wearing a seatbelt, only received minor injuries.
Joshua L. Reed, 36, Carrier Mills was pronounced dead at the scene by Saline County Coroner Jerry Doug Watson. Two passengers, Courtney L. Joyner and Micheal D. Perry, both 33 of Carrier Mills were flown from the scene by Air Evac to Deaconness Hospital in Evansville, Ind. Their conditions were not known early this (mon) morning.
The fourth person, Joshua M. Lewis, 44 of Eldorado was treated and released at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
Responding to the scene, along with the Saline County Sheriff and Coroner, were the Carrier Mills Police Department, Saline County EMS, Deaconess EMS and the Stonefort Fire Department.
