A 33 year old McLeansboro man, Charles Andy Sage was sentenced Monday in Hamilton County Court to 12 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by 4 years of Mandatory Supervised Release after pleading guilty to a Class 2 felony charge of Aggravated Battery. Sage strangled his wife in their home on March 7, 2019 and then fled the scene to Union County, Kentucky where he was picked up on March 11, 2019 and taken to the White County Jail.
