The Rend Lake College Choir will be kicking off festivities for the Murphy-Wall State Bank and Trust Company’s Old Fashioned Christmas on Dec. 6 at 105 E. Water Street in Pinckneyville.
RLC’s songsters will lead off the program by performing from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. They will be followed by half-hour performances by: the Southern Illinois Madrigals, the Touch of Old barbershop quartet and the Pinckneyville Community High School to round out the evening’s entertainment.
In addition to the music, visitors will have the chance to take part in horse-drawn wagon rides. Cookies, popcorn, hot chocolate, wassail and coffee will be available.
Donations of canned goods and/or new children’s toys would be appreciated to ensure local families in need have a happy holiday season.
