State Representative Dave Severin recently hosted two local women in Springfield at the State Capitol for the Illinois House Republicans’ annual Women to Watch Leadership Conference. Rep. Severin thanked Michaela Greathouse of Greathouse Grazing Acres and Wayne County Treasurer Yvette Anderson for agreeing to be part of the conference, which sees women leaders from throughout the State of Illinois descend on the Capitol for networking, panel discussions, and Capitol activities.
Severin shared,
“I am proud to know both Michaela and Yvette, as they are not only my constituents, they are outstanding leaders in their respective fields, and they deserve the recognition for their leadership and contributions. This is the fourth year that I have hosted guests for this program, and I believe the conference was better because of the contributions made by Michaela and Yvette.”
Yvette Anderson currently serves as the Wayne County Treasurer. She thanked Rep. Severin for the invitation to the conference.

Michaela Greathouse and her husband, Charlton, own and operate Greathouse Grazing Acres, a 120-acre grain, vegetable, and livestock farm in Albion. Greathouse says the Women to Watch conference was informative and valuable. Greathouse is also active in Farm Bureau. She was named the State Winner of the 2024 Young Leader State Discussion at the Illinois Farm Bureau’s Annual Conference in Chicago.
