Everyone is invited to step back in time and see armored knights battle for the honor of fair ladies when the Evansville Chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism hosts their annual Medieval Fair at Wesselman Park on Saturday, June 16!
The Fair is free to the public. “Pageantry in the Park” will include exciting demonstrations of armored combat on foot by knights and men-at-arms, as well as swashbuckling fencing from the Renaissance!
Armor will represent different styles that would have been worn over the centuries. There will also be exhibits of hand-made arts and crafts, plus members will be wearing clothing and dresses of the time period.
Pageantry in the Park will be from Noon to 5 PM on June 16. Wesselman Park is located at 551 North Boeke Road in Evansville, Indiana.
The Society for Creative Anachronism is a national, not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to recreating European arts and tournament combat prior to the 17th Century.
