Owensville Man Arrested on Child Exploitation Charges
A 28 year old Owensville, Ind. man, Coty N. Silvers was arrested over the weekend by the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit for Child Exploitation and Possession of Child Pornography.
A search warrant was issued in April after Indiana State Police received a tip that Silvers was allegedly possessing child pornography.
Detectives with the Internet unit located and seized several devices belonging to Silvers. The devices were later examined and over 1,200 images and 45 videos of child porn were located. Some images and videos contained children under the age of 12. After reviewing the evidence, Gibson County Prosecutors issued a warrant for Silver’s arrest. He was arrested at his residence without incident and transported to the Gibson County jail where he is currently being held on bond..
