Owen Cases Finalized in White County Court

In White County Court Wednesday, Wendi Owen’s cases were finalized.  The 46 year old Grayville woman will serve additional time that’s been added on to her previously imposed sentence.  Owen pled guilty to Class 4 felonies of Aggravated Assault, Aiding a Fugitive and Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude.  In total, Owen will serve 10 years with a year of parole to follow.  She’s also been ordered to pay the Grayville Police Department $500 in restitution.  White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud said, “Because of Ms. Owen’s poor decisions leading to her arrest in this case, we were able to obtain a lengthy sentence.”  Aud went on to say he commended the efforts of Officer Mike Brown, Gilbert Santos, Grayville Chief Roy Mann, County Sheriff Doug Maier and his deputies that assisted in the matter.
