Overnight pursuit through multiple Indiana counties ends in Dubois County

A pursuit of a wanted felon starting in Vanderburgh County came to a peaceful end Thursday night in Dubois County.

At 9:05 P.M. (Eastern) Thursday, Indiana State Police was informed that Vanderburgh County law enforcement was in pursuit of a tan Audi A4 northbound on Interstate 69 near the 12 mile marker.  The pursuit had begun in Evansville, as the driver, 37-year-old Brandon L. Ferrari of Evansville was wanted on felony drug charges and refused to pull over.

Troopers deployed tire deflation devices near the 19 mile marker of I-69 and had believed that Ferrari drove over them; however, the vehicle continued to flee northbound.  Once reaching Interstate 64, Ferrari drove east, leading officers into Warrick County along I-64.  With speeds reaching over 120 miles per hour, Warrick County deputies attempted to deploy tire deflation devices near the 53 mile marker, but were unsuccessful.

Ferrari drove through Spencer County into Dubois County, where at 9:29 P.M., troopers attempted to deploy tire deflation devices near the 63 mile marker.  This attempt was successful, causing tires to deflate and Ferrari to slow to a stop.  Ferrari stopped at the 65 mile marker and was placed into custody without incident.  Ferrari’s passenger, 25-year-old Tanisha Michelle Wolfe of Evansville, was also placed into custody.

Both Ferrari and Wolfe were confirmed to be wanted through Vanderburgh County.

After the arrest, officers searched Ferrari’s Audi, finding narcotics that field tested positive as marijuana and methamphetamine, smoking devices, scales and plastic baggies.

Additional charges may be pending through Vanderburgh County against Ferrari and Wolfe.
