After extensive renovation both inside and out, the White County One-Room School Museum on East Robinson Street in Carmi is hosting an open house on Sunday, September 18 from 1 – 4 p.m.
Many of the 118 one-room school buildings in White County of the late 19th and early 20th century are represented by picture, class record books, and other artifacts.
You will enjoy the walk back in time of our early history of the one-room schools in White County along with schoolmarm, Mrs. Judy Williams, serving as our resident teacher.
The school trustees – Don White, Thys Bax, Art Saunders, Don Garrett, and Don Dixon – invite you to share this day with them.
