On December 28th, 2024, White County Sheriff’s Department personnel responded to a call for service in Norris City. The call was in reference to a male individual, identified as Curtis Moss, who had possibly struck a family member and threatened them with a firearm. After an investigation, Sgt. Malone acquired a signed complaint for Aggravated Battery along with other charges. Sheriff Weiss along with Norris City Police Chief Dustin Dale called in other deputies and officers to assist. Numerous attempts to get Moss to the door of the residence failed. ILEAS Swat team was called in to execute a search warrant on the residence. After some time, Moss was taken into custody without incident for Aggravated battery with a firearm, Domestic Battery and Aggravated battery.
