The New Harmony Business Associates will be hosting the 4th Annual Spring Fling on March 18-19, 2017. The event will be held in the Ribeyre gymnasium in New Harmony, Indiana from 9-5 on Sat. the 18th and from 10-4 on Sunday the 19th.
Over 50 dealers from around the tri state will be selling such items as handmade wreaths and floral arrangements, handmade jewelry, soaps and lotions, quilts, hooked rugs, flatware, antiques, collectibles, handmade purses, wooden home furnishings, photo tiles, candles, knitted and crocheted wears, handmade aprons, carpenter bee traps, original art and prints, hair bows and tutu dresses. Also our local potter Tony Treadway will feature a large assortment of his work.
Treadway, who received his bachelor’s degree from University of Evansville and his Master of Arts from Eastern Illinois University visited here as a child. Then visited again in 1984 as a college student photographing the architectural elements of North Street and in 1985 and 1986 returned as a ceramic student intern at the Sarah Campbell Blaffer Potter’s House studio. Treadway is now a resident ceramic artist where he and his wife have made New Harmony their home. His work can also be purchased at Antique Emporium 525 Church Street and 409 Gallery 409 Main Street.
